Britain’s Knife Attack: A major stabbing incident took place in Southport city of Britain on Monday, in which 2 children died and many were injured. This stabbing incident took place in a children’s dance workshop. Police have arrested a 17-year-old suspected attacker. The knife used in the incident has also been recovered. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has called this stabbing incident in Southport city of north-west England ‘horrific’. Armed personnel of Merseyside Police gave information about the incident and said that a suspect has been arrested and the knife has also been seized.
The North-West Ambulance Service said that at least 8 people were injured in the stabbing incident, who have been admitted to several hospitals. UK PM Keir Starmer has condemned this attack. The PM wrote in a social media post, ‘Horrific and shocking news has come from Southport, my condolences are with all those affected. I would like to thank the police and emergency services for their quick action.’
Police arrested the 17-year-old accused
Merseyside Police said that at 11:50 BST, officers were informed about a major incident at a property located on Hart Street. Police reached the spot and took immediate action and sent the injured to the hospital. Along with this, a 17-year-old boy from Banks has been arrested as a suspect in this case. Police have also confirmed that a knife was found from the arrested boy. North West Ambulance Service said that they have helped 8 patients injured by knife. Some have been admitted to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. Such incidents have happened in Britain before.
